WestPack Wrap: Klöckner Pentaplast’s ACLAR CX Film - High Barrier at Less Cost
Klöckner Pentaplast of America Inc. (Gordonsville, VA) displayed applications of its newest barrier film for the pharmaceutical market, Pentapharm ACLAR 130/02. The mid-level barrier protection material is the lowest priced Pentapharm ACLAR film available.

The pharmaceutical packaging product employs AlliedSignal's ACLAR CX film, which is a new two-layer coextrusion of polyethylene and ACLAR CX that Klöckner laminates to its vinyl to produce Pentapharm ACLAR 130/02 film. Features of the new film are trouble-free forming and good optical clarity.

Pentapharm ACLAR 130/02 film allows packagers to select a lower cost ACLAR film that meets moderate barrier requirements. Klöckner Pentaplast calls the new film "a great value in terms of price/performance."
